Monday

Today I had my mid unit review, I found this very helpful as we went through everything that I needed to have started to make sure that I am on track to pass this unit, which I am. It was quite a relief as it settled my nerves and helped to focus my mind. We also made a list of everything that I need to do ready for my first deadline. I now know where to start so that I can be sure that I will finish and pass on time.

Thursday

Today I was working with my third year, I really enjoyed today as I was working with different materials, one of the fabrics was denim and the other was a thin cotton, this was interesting to see how they work together, I found it very useful getting to cut out and sew other materials to calico, as they all move quite differently.

Friday

Today I began construction of my sculptural sleeve, I haven't finished all of the patterns but I wanted to see how it looked in contrast to the rest of the shirt. I really liked the big sculptural feel about it, and I know I can continue up to the shoulder, I have still got quite a lot to do but I am pleased with how it is turning out.
